this is a story about a reader struggling who meets the love of their life, who’s also struggling. through their mutual pining they get the opportunity to view themselves through a lens of someone loving them for who they are, and finding a source of healing because of it. maybe things will all be okay after all, as long as they’re together.
or maybe it won’t, because afton is, unfortunately, back on his bullshit. at least ‘prevented a mass murder (again)’ looks really good on a resume!
